Cycle Prep is broken into eight easy-to-digest modules for flexibility in your presentation.
Here's what girls and parents will learn in a little over an hour:
Finally understand what's actually going on in there as we demystify internal female anatomy and the organs involved in the equation of life (egg + sperm = baby).
There is much more to cycles than just a period bleed! Girls learn all about four key hormones - FSH, estrogen, LH, and progesterone - pivotal to menstruation.
Say goodbye to vague explanations and period anxiety: We break down what it's actually like to have a period, how to use various hygiene products, and what's normal vs. when it's time to call the doctor.
Promote period positivity by learning how cycles affect energy levels and moods, what to put in a "period kit," and how to contribute to a culture of girls-supporting-girls around menstruation.
This annual license grants the hosting organization permission to use CYCLE PREP videos, handouts, and workbooks in a group setting.
You can purchase for a single year, or sign up for a renewable membership.
I know you're busy - that's why hosting a group Cycle Prep viewing is as easy as possible with exclusive hosting bonuses!
Not sure what to say or afraid you'll get tongue-tied? I make it super easy for you to facilitate conversations around what you learn in each video module.
Love event planning, but hate marketing? I've got you covered with flyers and Canva social media templates to get the word out about.
I've run Cycle Prep for years and learned some tips and tricks to presenting the material well. I'll share how to host a viewing that is impactful, plus a video message with key talking points.
Hosts all get a private Youtube video link to share with parents in advance of your CYCLE PREP event, letting them know what's included and helping them get a feel for the tone of the presentation
The job of the host is to schedule events, prep handouts, welcome families, and press "play" on the videos! The group hosting includes options for additional activities which can be run between videos, but these are not necessary. It's wonderful if a host is already generally familiar with menstrual cycle science.
Videos are hosted through a portal and cannot be downloaded; so your chosen venue must have internet capabilities to stream the content.
You'll want to be able to share videos on a screen that is big enough for your group: either hooking up to a large TV, or projecting to a screen.
This includes the video content and the handouts for your attendees, but lots of helpful planning info and additional materials for you as the host!
You will need about 75 minutes to comfortably show all the videos for this course, but can plan your CYCLE PREP event for a longer retreat-style day if you prefer! Here's a break-down of the video timeline:
Intro + Anatomy - 7:00 minutes
The Story of the Kingdom- 11:00 minutes
Ovulation is the Key! - 3:00 minutes
Period Products to Manage Flow- 13:00 minutes
Normal Period + Cycle Variations - 5:00 minutes
How Will I Know When My Period Will Start? - 6:00 minutes
Creating a Culture of Care- 7:00 minutes
Packing a Period Kit- 5:00 minutes
the creator of CYCLE PREP and founder of Pearl & Thistle
I'm a former campus minister, Lay Dominican, and fertility and cycle educator with more than a decade of experience.
But more importantly, I'm a mom of three girls.
And my period prep wasn't very extensive, and I definitely wanted them to have a better experience than I did.
So I created Cycle Prep to teach them what I wish I had been taught at their age: The actual facts of what happens during periods and menstrual cycles so that they can be confident in and proud of their body's design.
I meet them where they're at - honest, straight-up but age-appropriate biological facts and terms without dumbing it down or vague "you'll know once you get it" kind of answers (because that just fills them with more fear).
All presented from the heart of a mom who just wants the next generation of girls to be better and more positively prepared for puberty.

This is a great option for a small co-op or scouting troop, or even a group of friends.
Best for small parishes, schools, or mid-sized scouting troops.
A good fit for larger parishes, schools, or combined events across multiple organizations.
Best for large organizations, like a diocesan or Catholic schools office.
"The moms in our community shared in unison that they wish they had this course when they were young! This was an immense blessing for our school, as girls' first cycles bring a few challenges to our middle school experience. I appreciated being able to go through each video at a pace that made sense for us, while allowing moms to share experiences and even concerns they had for their daughters."
"Parents are very interested in this program, especially mothers. They will carve out the time and travel, even hours, to attend Cycle Prep with their daughters. Cycle Prep sets girls on a trajectory with the support of their parents to live as the healthy, vibrant, virtuous, and one day fertile women God created them to be!"
