This page is for annual, renewable membership to GROUP HOSTING LICENSE purchases for the CYCLE PREP video program.
Please contact Christina if you would like to schedule a consultation about this license, and read below for more information.
A license for Group Hosting allows leaders to play the CYCLE PREP videos in large (or small!) gatherings of parents + daughters: it's the perfect way to bring this education to your community, without needing to go through training or design your own program from scratch.
While Group Hosts are not affiliated with Pearl & Thistle directly, we do consider you to be an important extension of our mission!
Our unique approach to cycle education features bright visuals, memorable explanations, and (age-appropriate!) science so girls and parents walk away feeling confident in their understanding and preparation.
Learning from a video can be challenging. But in CYCLE PREP, we use various visual elements to help girls understand things that can seem abstract! For example: they see an anatomical drawing of a uterus, a felt model and a funnel.
Let's be real, the menstrual cycle can be confusing even for adults. That's why we tell "The Story of the Kingdom," Cycle Prep's unique way of inviting girls to discover the "story" of their menstrual cycle and the hormones that accompany it. Girls and moms say it's easy and fun to remember!
I'm giving our girls the education we wish we'd had: correct anatomical names, diagrams, and an actual explanation of what's actually happening during the whole cycle - our girls deserve to know what's going on in their bodies beyond the bleed!
of parents said CYCLE PREP exceeded their expectations
of parents rated their daughter's preparedness a 5/5 after watching CYCLE PREP
of parents said they would "definitely recommend" CYCLE PREP. The remaining 5% said they would "most likely" recommend
CYCLE PREP is a copyrighted workshop developed by Pearl & Thistle, LLC. Proper usage of the CYCLE PREP name and logo is essential to maintain brand integrity and ensure clear communication regarding the program's origin and ownership. Branding guidelines are included with your purchase.
This purchase allows you access to the Cycle Prep First Period course for 1 year, meaning you can show the videos and download the materials as many times as your membership tier allows. Please note that these videos are ONLY licensed for in-person programming; this license does not include virtual or asynchronous events.
CYCLE PREP videos and programs must be delivered in a setting with parents (either parents + daughters together, or done as a program for parents only).
As part of the Pearl & Thistle brand, CYCLE PREP videos and programs can not be presented in conjunction with any program or teaching that contradicts the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, especially in areas regarding marriage, sexual morality, or family planning.
By purchasing a group license, you are agreeing to uphold these limitations and standards.
The job of the host is to schedule events, prep handouts, welcome families, and press "play" on the videos! The group hosting includes options for additional activities which can be run between videos, but these are not necessary. It's wonderful if a host is already generally familiar with menstrual cycle science.
Videos are hosted through a portal and cannot be downloaded; so your chosen venue must have internet capabilities to stream the content.
You'll want to be able to share videos on a screen that is big enough for your group: either hooking up to a large TV, or projecting to a screen.
This includes the video content and the handouts for your attendees, but lots of helpful planning info and additional materials for you as the host!
Cycle Prep is broken into eight easy-to-digest modules.
Here's what you'll know in a little over an hour:
Finally understand what's actually going on in there as we demystify internal female anatomy and the organs involved in the equation of life (egg + sperm = baby).
There is much more to cycles than just a period bleed! Girls learn all about four key hormones - FSH, estrogen, LH, and progesterone - pivotal to menstruation.
Say goodbye to vague explanations and period anxiety: We break down what it's actually like to have a period, how to use various hygiene products, and what's normal vs. when it's time to call the doctor.
Promote period positivity by learning how cycles affect energy levels and moods, what to put in a "period kit," and how to contribute to a culture of girls-supporting-girls around menstruation.
